This exclusive programme aims to support senior decision-makers in shaping their international strategies while fostering valuable relationships with key stakeholders in Vietnam.

Vietnam has emerged as a significant player in the global education market. Vietnam is by far the largest sending market of international students for higher education from Southeast Asia. Vietnam is a top 6 market globally for Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand; 45% of all Southeast Asian enrollments in the US originate from Vietnam. Vietnam is also a fast growing market for Transnational Education, particularly for the UK and Australia.

Who should come to Vietnam Rising?
This programme is designed for senior leaders from international education institutions, particularly higher education. Participants will generally be International Director level or higher, or Deans of Faculty.

Who is hosting Vietnam Rising?
The programme will be led by Haike Manning, Executive Director of Southeast Asia for Acumen, based in Ho Chi Minh City. With extensive experience in international education and former service as the New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, Haike brings unparalleled expertise to the expedition.
What's new for 2024?
The theme of Vietnam Rising 3.0 is Educating for the Future.
Building upon the success of previous editions, Vietnam Rising 3.0 includes the following enhancements:
- Expanded itinerary covering both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
- Increased opportunities for engagement with government sectors, embassies, public institutions, and industry stakeholders.
- Increased focus on how government and industry priorities will shape demand for international education delivered both offshore and in Vietnam.
The Programme will focus on:
- Exploring Vietnam's growth as a powerhouse in Southeast Asia and its demand for talent, with a focus on STEM and Business education.
- Facilitating international cooperation and knowledge exchange with Vietnam's education sector, including in Transnational Education (TNE).
- Addressing the evolving landscape of private education groups and private higher education institutions, and providing opportunities to engage.
- Examining the rapid evolution of the K12 segment.
- Exploring the increasing emphasis on employability and return on investment (ROI) for Vietnamese families investing in education.
